This dynamic course on Interview and Interrogation will be packed with simple
techniques of “literally” paying attention to all words spoken and actions taken. This
course details and explains the entire process; from set up and phone calls, to basic body
language, eye movements and proxemics. Discussed will be the subtle differences
between an elderly person’s deception, and factor that may contribute to those lies, along
with possible motivation for lying.
Further covered will be the ever-forgotten importance of using your “right brain” and
approaching the interview as an art form rather than a stagnant exchange or collection of
information. You will see firsthand through student/instructor exchange how these clues
and signs literally leap out to us as enforcement officers in daily LEO/Staff interactions.
This course will define what you are “actually observing” and the interpretation of that
observation. My style of teaching is far from boring, and interaction will be dynamic,
entertaining and will give you the upper hand in gaining valuable information; or winning
the grand prize of a “stand in court” confession. Sheriff of Warren Co. Brian Zeybel (Pa trooper Ret.)

This presentation is a “Go and Show” PowerPoint. Advanced technology over the years has not only shaped the way we communicate, but also how we protect our homes. Technology allows us to link different devices and connect beyond just computers and smartphones. Nowadays, it is pretty common for people to also connect many of their home elements like garage doors, doorbells, door locks, speakers, lights, clocks, and other electronic devices for optimal security. Keeping an eye on your home away from home has never been easier!
Home automation involves your devices communicating with each other to send you information and follow your commands. It is convenient to use once you get everything set up properly because you can control the different elements in your home with it! Saving electricity and having improved security are just two of many perks of home automation. In this guide, we will go over the different ways automation & smart home technology can provide home security. Capt. (ret.) Jeff Rinaldo
During my 25+ years law enforcement career, I developed a strong skill set in taking leadership positions within the department. As such, I was tasked with heading up all new projects, policies and handling all media interviews in my role as the Chief of Staff. This dynamic experience has helped me to grow both professionally and personally. Being a leader in a 1000 person organization, I was able to learn how to delegate and develop subordinates so they were properly equipped to handle their assignments. Multitasking and process development became part of my team’s daily routine in order to meet extremely tight legal deadlines with a limited group of people and resources. As a strong communicator, the role of public information officer was assigned to me and required around the clock media contact. In the PIO role, I had to learn to balance the goals of the City, the Police Department and the expectations of the diverse community of Buffalo. Open and transparent communications and interviews was my mission and allowed me to develop relationships and respect within the local media outlets.
Brian Zeybel
I have spent the lion’s share of my twenty-five years as a State Trooper assigned to the Criminal Investigations Unit. I received Federal training as a professional interrogator and honed the fine skills of a polygraph examiner during that four and half month off site commitment. I worked many years in the capacity of a polygraph examiner, gaining confessions in many serious criminal investigations; and being a member of the major case squad. After twenty-five years of service with PSP, I was hired as the Chief County Detective of the Warren County District Attorney’s Office. I was responsible for setting up interviews with witnesses and suspects involved in upcoming court proceedings and continued to utilize my interview skills in solidifying cases for the prosecutors. I worked in that capacity for over three years, before proudly being elected the Sheriff of Warren County.
